Evaluating, Selecting, and Using Appropriate Assistive Technology - Jan C. Galvin;Marcia J. Scherer The one thing you need to know right up front is that this is a text book. There is a lot of information here, but it's neither written to be engaging, nor organized so that it can be used as a compendium/encyclopedia of gadgetry. It's is meant for someone going into the field who needs information on technological solutions to challenges faced by people with a variety of disabilities. For someone looking for specific solutions for themselves or a loved one, there is a good deal of extraneous, irrelevant (and sometimes dated) information to sift through.Living in the State of Stuck is a much, much better book for a patient or family member.
